Course Description:
Aromatic Reflexology is the holistic
integration of aromatherapy and reflexology, providing a hands-on
technique of merging touch with aroma. On Saturday we will cover a
basic routine for foot reflexology and review its history,
therapeutic benefits, and contraindications. The basics of
aromatherapy and the top 14 essential oils to integrate with
reflexology will be covered. Time will be allotted for practice
during the afternoon. Throughout the day on Sunday you will learn
how to create dynamic spa treatments to enhance reflexology sessions
utilizing essential oils (aromatherapy), medicinal herbs, honey,
salt, clay, sugar, fruit, other raw material, blending and unique
applications.
Instructor Bio:
Jade
Shutes, BA, Dipl. AT - Jade Shutes holds a Diploma in Holistic
Aromatherapy, Holistic Massage, Anatomy and Physiology, and
Reflexology from the Raworth College of Natural Medicine in Dorking,
UK, and a Diploma in Aromatherapy from the International Therapist
Examining board (ITEC). She has studied with Jan Kusmirek of
Fragrant Studies and has completed Part One of the Purdue University
Advanced Studies of Essential Oils. She is passionate about
aromatherapy and its ability to transform our relationship to
health, well-being, aromatic plants and the natural world.
